about me
when i was young i spent a lot of time making paper and card models. i would go to the supermarket and ask for all the cardboard boxes, i would fill my mums car ready to take them home and start my next creation. when adults asked what i wanted to be when i grew up i would say a design engineer, i wasn’t sure what it was. i just knew i wanted to design and make things. my passion growing up was my bmx, i enjoyed traveling to different parts of the country on the train with my friends to ride different things. riding helped me to express my creativity and gave me a different perspective on the environment around me. i studied art, english, business studies and product design at a-level. i enjoyed business studies but my passion for design lead to me wanting to study it further.

overview
the ‘blink’ system integrates bicycles into the city infrastructure providing a sustainable and durable transport solution that adapts to suit the movement patterns of its users. the nature of the system means that the number of bikes available at a location can easily be expanded at any time to meet user demand. this allows for intelligent management and distribution of the bikes. more bikes can be made available at peak times and at popular locations, it also means that a dock or hub can never be full when the user arrives at their destination.

the system is fully integrated with the public transport infrastructure offering users a sustainable and flexible link between public transport and their destination.

“the young savvy camper wants a stylish, modern camping experience”

‘surefire’ is an outdoor cooking solution that provides everything needed to prepare, cook and eat a meal for two. the product offers a hassle free camping experience, eliminating the need to carry separate, utensils, pots and pans as well as a stove. everything is packed into a neat, lightweight unit.

people that the surefire is aimed at are not necessarily serious climbers or hikers but those who enjoy camping and embrace the functional outdoor image. ‘surefire’ has three evenly spaced legs and an interlocking pan and base giving optimum stability. the burner is concealed ensuring optimum efficiency even in strong winds.
career aspirations
when i graduate i hope to gain some experience in a professional design environment. i have had a range of jobs that have all become repetitive. the fact that i might actually end up working as part of a design team and having the chance to be creative on a daily basis is what excites me. i would love to work for a bike company but i have a wide range of interests and versatile approach to my work, i would be happy as a part of any motivated team.
